Child Development
Goal:
The goal of the Child Developmental Program is to promote awareness on Child Development and Parenting issues to improve the physical, mental, and social well-being of Tootinaowaziibeeng Treaty Reserve children, their families, and their community.
Objective:
The objectives of the Developmental program range from child development services which could include: parent resource centres, infant stimulation programs, behaviour and developmental counselling involving children, parents, educators; training, cultural orientation and support to increase the knowledge and skills of individuals involved in service delivery to First Nations community.
Focus:
- Promotion on awareness of child development for ages 0-6, 6-12 years, 12-17 years.
- Parenting Skills and strengthening of the communities family units
- Child development assessments
- Program development Based on Assessments
