Communicable Disease
GOAL
The main goal of the program is to eliminate communicable disease wherever possible and to reduce incidences of communicable disease(s).
OBJECTIVES
The objective of the Communicable Disease program is to develop a coordinated approach associated with Communicable diseases for the First Nation community.
Focus:
Provision of Health Services (controllable) activities:
- Case finding, monitoring and management
- Assistance in screening procedures
- Counseling and health education
- Promoting clients being immunized according to schedules
- Assisting in investigation of communicable disease outbreaks, including suspected food-borne illnesses
Awareness Sessions on Communicable Diseases
- STD - 4 sessions for Youth/Adult
- Education Awareness/Other Communicable
Isolation/Immunization Immunized
- Awareness Information on Isolation
- Promotion of Sanitary Conditions to lessen spread or control disease
- Nursing-Treatment Methods
Reporting/Case Management
- Contact in Regional Office
- Communicable Disease, Health cases
- Confirmation/Laboratory/Doctor
- Community Procedure
- Report of Notifiable
